When putting on a helmet or picking yourself up after a particularly spectacular crash, you may find that you need to readjust your goggles to properly fit your head.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ski Clothing
  • Ski Equipment
  • Ski Goggles
  1. Step 1

Clear any snow out of your goggles with a dry piece of cloth.

  2. Step 2

Put on your goggles to determine whether you need to loosen or tighten them.

  3. Step 3

    Remove the goggles.

  4. Step 4

Hold the edges of the plastic buckle on the goggle band between your thumb and fingers. The band will typically have a side that's doubled over to one side of the buckle, and another side with a single layer.

  5. Step 5

Push more of the band through the buckle to the doubled-over side if you need to loosen the goggles.

  6. Step 6

Pull more of the band through the buckle from the doubled-over side when you want to tighten the goggles.

  7. Step 7

Continue adjusting the goggles in this manner until they fit snugly on your head.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can tighten or loosen your goggles while they're on your head if it's not too cold to remove your gloves or mittens.
  • To help prevent your goggles from fogging over, it's a good idea to fit your goggles before venturing outside.
  • Skiing is a physically demanding sport that could result in serious injury. We recommend that you seek proper training and equipment before attempting this activity.

on 7/22/2007 With goggles one of the most important things to remember is to keep the areas of ventilation free of snow. If these are blocked then your goggles will mist up and you wont be able to see a thing! Also try and keep your goggles on your eyes at all times if your visibility is low. If you keep on takeing them off and on, you may find your goggles are completely misted and so utterly useless.
