Standard Landing
Step1
Wait for the signal from the pilot or your guide before you open the door.
Step2
Unbuckle your seatbelt only when the door has been opened.
Step3
Secure any loose clothing before moving toward the door.
Step4
Grab the seat and handle near the door as you carefully step down.
Step5
Close the door when the last person has exited, then give the pilot the thumbs-up signal to let him or her know the door is secure.
Step6
Hunch over and walk on a level or downward path away from the helicopter.
Step7
Stop in a group and crouch down with your hands on your knees and your head low, or kneel down on the ground until the helicopter takes off.
Emergency Landing
Step1
Try the door first. If it's jammed, punch out the plastic windows and exit through them.
Step2
Use the seat posts like a ladder if the helicopter is on its side. Climb up to the side not blocked by snow and turn to help others up and out.
Step3
Grab your emergency pack from the helicopter if there is time and no danger of fire.
