Step 1
Bring a good waterproof jacket-and-pant combo or one-piece ski suit. If you choose the two-piece option, a long jacket with a drawstring to help keep out the snow is advisable.
-
Step 2
Pack extras of items such as ski socks, hats, gloves, turtlenecks and long underwear. If they get wet, you will want a clean, dry pair for the next day.
-
Step 3
Include an extra set of goggles and defogger - if you break or lose one pair, you'll be covered.
-
Step 4
Call your heli-tour operator and find out if they provide powder skis and poles for you. If so, you only have to worry about bringing your boots and/or your snowboard.
-
Step 5
Ask your heli-tour operator if there is an apparel, equipment and repair shop in case you forget anything.
-
Step 6
Think about safety gear such as walkie-talkies, a VHF radio or any medication you might need. The heli-tour operator will have a basic first aid kit.
-
Step 7
Consider bringing a backpack to carry extra clothing and gear.
-
Step 8
Bring plenty of sunscreen, lip protection and dry-skin lotion.
-
Step 9
Throw in reading material for the plane, bus ride or lounge time in the lodge, and a camera to capture the beauty of the mountains.
-
Step 10
Remember your swimsuit - or birthday suit, depending on the crowd - for the spa at your lodge.
