Instructions

    • 1

Open your hand with your fingers extended and touching together.

    • 2

Arch the hand backward, forcing the palm side of the knuckles forward.

    • 3

Fold the thumb into the palm, bending the top of the thumb downward.

    • 4

Curve the tips of your fingers in slightly while keeping the hand arched backward. The padded edge below the pinky is the striking surface.

Tips & Warnings

  • If held correctly, the hand will not collapse if the knuckles are squeezed together.

  • Practicing the martial arts is an inherently dangerous activity that can result in serious injury. We recommend that you seek proper training and equipment before attempting this activity.

To increase the power of the strike, put both hands together (as if you were clapping). Make sure that if you are right-handed, the right pinky area is in front of the left area. For left-handed people, put the left pinky area in front of the right. Then, to amplify the power, push your hip into the strike as you attack. With this tactic, you should be able to dent steel without a scratch to yourself.
