1. Understand that the Baby-Sitters Club is a series of more than 100 books for girls ages 7 to 12. They are stories about a group of middle-school girls who form a baby-sitting club.

2. Note that each girl is unique in her appearance, ethnic heritage, interests and talents.

3. Know that Scholastic, which publishes the books, has created a series of fashion dolls to represent the characters in the books.

4. Look for Baby-Sitters Club dolls online on websites such as eBay.com. They are not carried by stores anymore.

• Consider purchasing some of the Baby-Sitters Club software titles.
• Buy some of the many Baby-Sitters books. There are mysteries, Super Mysteries, Super Specials, Portrait Collection books, Little Sister books and Reader Request books as well as the new line of Friends Forever books and the related California Diaries books.
