The annual salaries of federal judges range from approximately $95,000 to $172,000. The latter figure is the approximate salary of the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court. State judges receive salaries in the range of approximately $70,000 to $134,000.

  3. Step 3

    Ask your county clerk to direct you to information about the salaries of judges in your area. Since they are public officials, their salaries are a matter of public record.
