Tips & Warnings
For information about the Disney Cruise Line, call (800) WDW-CRUISE.
For a one-day, one-park pass for a family of four (two adults and two children three to nine years of age), expect to pay about $230. You will save money in the long run if you buy passes that allow you entrance to more than one park for more than one day. Explore the Web site for options.
Read as much as you can about Walt Disney World before making your plans. Guidebooks provide great tips and advice for making the most of your days in the park.
Although Disney World is open all year, be sure to check for weather warnings during the fall hurricane season.
Be sure to bring along your own film, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellant and hats. These items are notoriously expensive inside the park.

Orlando is not on the coast of Florida, it is in the center of central Florida. However, it is a tropical climate and is very hot and humid for much of the year. -

Talk to cast members (employees), especially about their park. Not only will they be able to suggest the best rides at the best times, they'll also be able to suggest the 'hidden delights' that most people pass by. -

Did you know that if you drop your ice cream, drink, popcorn, pretzel, or whatever, you can get it replaced for free at Disney? Just go up to a cart selling whatever it is, and explain the situation. Same goes for anything else bad that could happen to you at Disney - a ride breaks down after you've been waiting in line forever, a bird poops on your shirt, the person at the front of the line said your child was tall enough but the person 30 minutes later in line said he wasn't. Find a cast member, politely explain what happened, and know what you'd like. If you waited in line for a ride and then didn't get to ride, ask for a fast pass for either that ride or another one. Did I mention be polite? -

They're there to make your day better. If it's your birthday, anniversary, or honeymoon, go get a button. If your child's wheelchair looks like a stroller, or is a stroller, get a Guest Assistance Pass (same if you're not able to stand for long, or your child has autism and doesn't do well with lines, or you need shows interpreted, or anything). You name it, they can probably help. -
