Sometimes it's easier to move separate objects on a page - a picture and a text caption, for example - when the application views them as one object. This is called grouping. You can easily group and ungroup text and graphics in PageMaker 6.0 and 6.5.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PageMaker 6.5 (Mac OS)
  • PageMaker 6.5 (Windows)
  1. Step 1

Select the text and graphics you want to group by holding down the Shift key and clicking each object (text and graphics).

  2. Step 2

Go to the Element menu and select Group.

  3. Step 3

Drag the grouped objects where you want them.

Tips & Warnings
  • Grouping works best when you have already positioned the objects where you want them to be in relation to one another.
  • Leave the objects grouped, or select the group and choose Ungroup from the Element menu.
