You need to set specifications for every new PageMaker document you create if you want specifications that differ from the PageMaker default. PageMaker 6.0 and 6.5 make this easy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PageMaker 6.5 (Mac OS)
  • PageMaker 6.5 (Windows)
  1. Step 1

Open PageMaker; the Document Setup window opens.

  2. Step 2

Adjust the default settings as necessary. These settings include page size, page dimensions in inches, page orientation (tall or wide), number of pages, page margins and target output resolution.

  3. Step 3

Click OK when you are finished entering the new page specifications. The new document opens.

Tips & Warnings
  • It's a good idea to check the specifications every time you open a new document because sometimes you don't think of the subtle changes you want to make until you see them suggested in the Document Setup window.
