"I've never seen her box, but she's scrappier than heck in the courtroom. Let's get it on!" says Nevada district judge, pro-boxing referee and court TV show host Judge Mills Lane.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Get after her right away.

  2. Step 2

Tire her out with quick footwork and Sugar-Ray-style dancing.

  3. Step 3

Distract her with legal questions about assault and battery.

  4. Step 4

Batter her when she pauses to answer.

  5. Step 5

Frustrate her with loud outbursts and erratic behavior.

  6. Step 6

Display a blatant disregard for authority.

  7. Step 7

Steal her gavel and throw it into the crowd.

  8. Step 8

Go with the left jab to keep her away, then move inside with a left hook and right uppercut.

Tips & Warnings
  • "She's a tough cookie and doesn't take any BS," says Lane of Judge Judy's style. "But she should give more people a pat on the back every now and then."
  • Remember that you're fighting her, not the bailiff.
  • Stay clear of her combination punch.

on 11/5/2009 I'm confused. I expected eHow to actually teach me something useful. This is just a waste of my time.

on 1/31/2006 The gavel throwing trick is quite clever, but do not approach the bench to grab it. First of all, the bailiff will jump on you and second, Judge Judy doesn't use a gavel!
