Tell us about your daily skin care routine.

I've always been pretty low-key with my skin care routine. Recently, I've added a few more steps, inspired by my friend Madison's new-found obsession with the 10-step Korean skin care method. I haven't taken on 10 more steps, just a few more than I used to.

In the a.m., I wash my face with Tatcha's Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. Followed by Context Skin Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer and Content Skin Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream. Then, I'll put May Lindstrom's The Blue Cocoon on dry spots and problem areas. I rub Herbivore's Jasmine Glowing Hydration Body Oil on my chest, arms and legs. I'll finish with a spritz of May Lindstrom's The Jasmine Garden post-makeup.

In the p.m., I wash my face with Sunday Riley's Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm. Followed by Herbivore's Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist as a toner with a cotton pad. Then, I apply a thin layer of Sunday Riley's Good Genes. I'll finish with May Lindstrom's The Blue Cocoon all over my face. When I have a few spots, I dab on Kate Somerville's EradiKate.

I also use May Lindstrom's Honey Mud Mask three times a week.

What makeup do you normally wear?

My everyday makeup is pretty minimal — a tinted moisturizer, some cover up, a little bronzer, mascara and highlighter. When we're going out to dinner or to an event I add a little eyeliner.

First, I apply MAKE Moonlight Brightening Serum. Followed by Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint, some Laura Mercier Secret Concealer, a little Hourglass Ambiant Bronzer, NARS Orgasm blush, Glossier Boy Brow, CoverGirl LashBlast mascara and ILIA highlighter. When we're going out to dinner or to an event, I add a little eyeliner and a spritz of Stella McCartney perfume.

What do you do to attain such effortlessly chic hair?

My hair has always been an issue for me, especially growing up. I could never seem to tame the frizz. As I've gotten older, I've started to figure it out. I have to wash my hair at night with Kérastase Specifique Bain Exfoliant Hydratant Shampoo, spray some Hairstory Undressed sea salt spray, sleep on it, give it a little straightening iron action in the morning and smooth on a bit of Hairstory's Hair Balm to finish it off. When I like my hair, I'll wear it down, but most of the time it's in a top knot. My creative director at Bon Appétit, Alex Grossman, used to say that he could gauge my stress level by how high my bun was. Nowadays, I try to keep it in the middle. If my hair needs a pick-me-up, I'll use Verb's Dry Shampoo.

What's your morning jam?

Mornings are tough in our house. I live with my boyfriend, Ross, and he has to leave for work much earlier than I do, so I spend the morning with a cup of coffee in bed watching him buzz about the house to leave on time. Once he leaves, I put on Justin Bieber or One Direction.

Are you a bath or shower woman?

Shower for everyday. But, I love to indulge in a bath on the weekends.

Do you prefer your nails natural or polished?

Natural, square, buffed. When we go on our yearly summer vacation to Mexico I change it up and go for a hot pink nail.

What was your last big beauty purchase?

I love products. I recently over did it on some Maya Lindstrom products. The honey mud mask is insane.

What's something you haven't tried yet but would love to?

Smorgasburg recently opened up in downtown L.A.. We used to live in Williamsburg and went all the time. We definitely need to check out the L.A. version. But, we live in Venice, and if you know anything about L.A., going from west to east is a BIG DEAL — we're going to have make a road trip of it.

What's the last product you used until there was nothing left?

Good Genes by Sunday Riley.

Are there any sites you frequent for beauty tips or product recommendations?

I have to give a shoutout to HBFIT. Having been the editorial director for two years, I'm super proud to say I worked on the site and helped build the foundation of the brand.

Who do you look to for beauty inspiration?

French women. And I know that many people find French woman to be inspiring, but they just do it so right. Our friend Louis' mom, Laurence, is absolutely stunning in the most understated way. Whenever we go to their summer house in Pyla in the South of France I'm always excited to see what she wears to dinner and it's always so simple and elegant — a black silk slip dress, minimal makeup — but absolutely glowing skin. She is so chic.

If you could go to brunch with one person (dead or alive), who would it be and where would you go?

Oh man, this is tough. To be honest, my Nana, my mom's mom. She passed away when I was five, so I had no time with her. But, I feel like we're the same person. So, I'd love to take her to brunch at Buvette in NYC. We would both get the steamed scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and toast.

When do you feel most comfortable in your own skin?

On day four of our yearly trip to Mexico, when my skin is brown, my freckles are out and my hair is salty.
