Things You'll Need:
- Carry-on Bags
- Garment Bags
- Luggage Sets
- Sunglasses
- Travel Clothes
- Travel Adapters And Converters
- Sunscreen
- Backpacks
- Duffel Bags
-
Step 1
Acquaint yourself with Argentine seasons. Spring starts in September, summer in December, fall in March and winter in June.
-
Step 2
Take conservative, yet classic business attire. Suits and ties are standard for men, while women wear knee-length skirts, hose and low-heel pumps.
-
Step 3
Pack evening attire that's more dressy than casual. Women will impress in a nice dress, while men will look sharp in slacks, a finely knit sweater and a sport coat.
-
Step 4
Bring lightweight summer clothes when visiting between December and March. Men should consider khaki shorts, button-down shirts, polo T-shirts and slacks. Women might opt for sundresses, skirts, dressy shorts and lightweight wool twinsets.
-
Step 5
Bring a sweater and fleece jacket to layer, even during the summer months, when temperatures can still plunge into the low 40s. During winter a light coat is wise, as are sweaters, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, loafers and socks.
-
Step 6
Pack sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable sandals for taking in the sights during the spring and summer.
-
Step 7
Remember your electrical converter and adapter.

on 9/2/2006 I'm from the US, but I lived in Buenos Aires for a time and found it very easy to pick out other foreigners in a crowd based on their attire. Shorts, backpacks, logos, and college sweatshirts can not only give you away as a non-native but can also attract unwanted attention, especially from pickpocketing.

on 8/8/2006 Since there is no specific rainfall period in Buenos Aires, it's always good to carry a small umbrella with you. You can even buy them there for less than 10 pesos. I have been caught in the occasional shower, especially in autumn.
