How to Put TwitPics Into Tweets

Including images in your posts on social networks helps attract attention from your friends. While Twitter doesn't support uploading media content to your posts directly, you can use Twitpic to embed images into your tweets. You can log in to Twitpic using the same username and password you use on Twitter. Upload an image on Twitpic, add a caption and then save to automatically share your picture on Twitter. A small "View Photo" link will be included in your tweet that expands to display your image when clicked.

  • Log in to the Twitpic website with your Twitter username and password (link in Resources).

  • Click the "Upload Photo or Video" button. Click "Select Media," select the photo you want to upload and then click "Open."

  • Enter a caption into the "Caption" field to accompany your Twitpic tweet.

  • Check the box next to "Twitter" under Share To.

  • Click the "Upload" button to upload your picture to Twitpic and share with Twitter. It may take a few moments to finish uploading your photo depending on its size.

  • Click "Add/Edit Faces" to tag yourself or other Twitter users in your photo. Click on a person in the image, fill in his "Name" and "Twitter Username" and then click the "Save" button.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can view the photo and videos you've shared with Twitpic on your Twitpic profile. Click the "Profile" link, and then click "Timeline" or "Gallery" to view your media.
  • Use consideration when choosing images to share with Twitter, as these can easily be "re-tweeted" by other users.
  • Twitpic reserves the right to distribute your media on its website, services and affiliate sites.
