Understanding how to correctly size pages in your desktop publishing applications is essential to ensuring a professional final product. If you're working with a project in Adobe InDesign, take advantage of the Edit Page Size button on the Pages panel to adjust the size of pages in your project. InDesign gives you the option of choosing from a selection of preset sizes or creating your own custom page sizes.
Open a document in Adobe InDesign. Click the "Window" menu and then click "Pages."
Highlight the page you want to resize in the Pages panel by clicking on the thumbnail image of the page.
Click the "Edit Page Size" button located at the bottom of the Pages panel, two spots to the left of the Trash icon.
Select the preset size you want to apply to the page. InDesign lists a series of preset sizes, including Letter, Legal, A4, Business Card and others.
If you want to create a custom page size, click "Custom." Clicking the Custom button loads the Custom Page Size dialog. Input a width and height into this dialog and then click "OK" to apply the size change.
