1. Consider the time of year you'll be visiting Miami. February through April is sunnier and less humid. Late spring and summer bring intense heat and humidity, while hurricane-like conditions are common in September and October.

2. Pack shorts, sleeveless tops, short-sleeved shirts and sundresses in cotton or linen to brave the heat during warmer months. Sandals will keep your feet happy and cool.
