The right-sized jump rope keeps your workout safe and efficient.

Jumping rope has many benefits including improving your cardiovascular system, increasing body awareness and burning calories. The right-sized jump rope makes your jumping easier and keeps your workout safe. A rope that is too short, will affect your posture as you lean forward to avoid getting hit by the rope. A rope that is too long may get tangled in your feet and be cumbersome to swing. Adjusting the length of your jump rope cables is fast and easy.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine a safe length for your jump rope by placing one foot in the middle of the rope. Hold a handle in each hand and bring each hand to your chest. This is where your rope should end. Make the rope shorter if the handles are higher than your chest. Increase the length of the rope if the handles do not reach chest height.

    • 2

Take off the plastic piece on the end of each handle. Slide the cables through the opening on the end of the handles until you see a metal crimp piece.

    • 3

Stand on the rope again with one foot and hold onto the cables at the point you want to put the handles. Use the pliers to crimp the metal pieces at the desired length.

    • 4

Pull down the rope until the crimp pieces are positioned against the insides of the handles.

    • 5

Cut off the excess cable with scissors if needed. Put the plastic cap back on the end of the handles.
