How to Get Your Gmail Contact List on Your iPad
Adding your Gmail account to an iPad so that you can check your email does not automatically synchronize your Gmail contacts with the device. To get your Gmail contact list on the iPad, you need to create a second connection using CardDAV, a service that provides you with access to contacts from multiple devices. Creating an account on the iPad using CardDAV is similar to setting up your email synchronization, although you are required to manually enter server information.
