How to Connect an iPhone to an iPad to Watch Netflix
You can tether your iPad to your iPhone over Wi-Fi to give your iPad access to the Internet if you enable the Personal Hotspot option on your iPhone. It is important that you carefully review your service agreement with your cellular provider before enabling this feature. It is likely that sharing your data plan with other devices in this way will involve more charges and, in the case of watching movies over Netflix, will consume a lot of data. Streaming movies over an iPhone connection that does not have an unlimited data plan may cause you to quickly use up your data limit for the month.
Instructions
-
Enable Personal Hotspot on Your iPhone
-
1
Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your iPhone. Tap "Settings," then "Wi-Fi" and finally "On" to enable Wi-Fi. It is not possible to tether your iPad to your iPhone unless this is enabled.
-
2
Tap "Settings | Network | Set Up Personal Hotspot | On" to turn on Personal Hotspot on your iPhone.
-
-
3
Enter a password for your iPhone's Personal Hotspot. This is an important step since anyone can see your iPhone's connection and attempt to connect to it. Without a password to protect your connection, other people could use up your data plan and cause you to incur additional charges.
