How to Get Rid of Breadcrumbs on a Toyota GPS System

When you get lost on the road or need to find an unfamiliar address, you rely on your Toyota's GPS to guide you to your destination. The Toyota navigation system has a Route Trace feature that marks your route with a trail of breadcrumbs. This trail lets you see what roads you've driven and helps you decide where you need to go next. If the breadcrumb trail annoys you, remove it by disabling Route Trace.

  • Start your vehicle and turn on the Toyota navigation system.

  • Tap "Show On Map" to open the Options menu.

  • Tap "Route Trace" to turn off the breadcrumb trail on the map. Tap the button again to re-enable breadcrumbs.

  • Close the Options menu and go back to the main map screen.
