Save

ImageMagick is a command line application that allows you to convert, edit and compose images. It is also a native PHP extension that allows you to convert images using the PHP scripting language. If you want to convert a .PDF file to the .JPG format with ImageMagick in PHP, you can do so in your HTML editing application without installing any additional software.

  • Launch your HTML editing program, click the "File" menu, select "Open" and double-click the HTML file that you want to edit.

  • Type "<?php" in the HTML editor to open a line of PHP code.

  • Type the PHP ImageMagick conversion code, substituting your file name for "image":

    $ convert image.PDF image.JPG

  • Type "?>" after the PHP ImageMagick conversion code to close off the PHP code.
