You have all those tools scattered in the kitchen drawer, the garage, your trunk ... Isn't it time to find them a real home?

From Quick Guide: Common Tools in a Toolbox
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Gather all your tools - when you see all of them together, you'll have a better idea of how big a home to give them.

  2. Step 2

Choose a larger rather than smaller toolbox. You can get anything from a small plastic box with a handle on top to a large, steel, tool chest with wheels.

  3. Step 3

Be sure that there are enough trays for small hardware such as screws, nails, nuts and washers.

  4. Step 4

Keep in mind that you will probably have to carry the toolbox at some point. Be sure that it is comfortable and balanced.

  5. Step 5

Consider a toolbox that doubles as a work surface or stepstool.

on 11/22/2005 You'll probably find you use a small fraction of your tools most of the time. Try putting the most-used tools - screwdrivers, hammer, pliers, scissors and the like - in a small toolbox. Keeps you from carring the whole shebang everywhere.
