The Super Bowl is simply the biggest sporting event there is. If you go to this game, you will remember it for the rest of your life. Here's what you need to do to get your hands on Super Bowl tickets.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately challenging

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Find friends, family members or coworkers who are season ticket holders for one of the teams playing in the Super Bowl. They have the best chance at tickets.
Step2
Check the tickets section of the team's website to see if tickets are still available.
Step3
Visit an online ticket marketplace like StubHub.com and click on Super Bowl tickets to see a wide selection of tickets and prices for the game. Sites like this will probably be your best chance of scoring 50 yard line seats, but be prepared to pay up!
Step4
Consider eBay, but make sure to only deal with reputable sellers and understand in advance how and when you will get your tickets. Also make sure you can pay safely.
Step5
Consider a ticket broker--a fast-talking dealer who buys them from season ticketholders, then resells them at considerably higher rates. (Technically, this is illegal in most states, but it's rarely prosecuted.) If you go to eBay.com and click on eBay Stores and then click on "Tickets," you'll find dozens of ticket broker Web sites.
Step6
Check out online concierge services, a route few people know about. They specialize in obtaining premium seats for sold-out events. Expect to pay top dollar for the service. Check out such sites as ManhattanConcierge.com and Concierge Services of Atlanta (csoa.com).

Tips & Warnings

  • - There's no two ways about it: Super Bowl tickets are expensive. Even face value tickets (almost impossible to find) usually start at $400+ per ticket for nose bleed seats. Most Super Bowls in recent years have had open market ticket prices starting around $2000 and going up from there.
  • - For any Internet transaction you do, make sure the website where you buy tickets is secure and reputable. Look for a seal of approval from the Better Business Bureau, Verisign or similar organizations.
  • - In most cases (but not always), Super Bowl tickets are available at better prices well in advance of the game, especially before the opponents are determined.
  • eBay is often a good place to find tickets, but beware of fraudulent tickets and the hassle of bidding for tickets. A ticket marketplace site like StubHub.com that offers a 100% guarantee on transactions can be the best mix of good prices and safe ticket purchases.

on 1/26/2006 Each year, usually in the fall, the NFL group managing the Super Bowl tickets selects a predetermined number of postcard entries to their Super Bowl ticket lottery. These winning entries are sent a letter with the offer to buy up to 4 Super Bowl tickets at face value. The seats are generally in the upper deck area.

The address to which you must mail your entry is posted on the www.nfl.com website shortly after the NFL draft.
