How to Unlock NAND on an Unrevoked EVO

NAND memory is the internal flash memory used by smartphones such as the HTC EVO. This internal memory is not typically accessible for use outside of the operating system functions and essential system files. You can root the HTC EVO using the Unrevoked program to unlock access to the NAND. Other advantages of rooting this smartphone includes using unofficial upgrades and operating system ROMs and tweaking system settings to improve the performance of the device.

Scroll through the list of applications available on the phone and tap on the file manager that you have installed on the smartphone. If you have not yet installed a file manager, this type of application is available through Android Market or another marketplace application.
