How to Print JEP Charts From the iPad
Jeppeson charts, casually referred to as JEP charts, provide pilots with important flight and route information on the ground and in the cockpit. In June 2011, the Federal Aviation Administration began testing an iPad application that offers pilots JEP chart information and replaces the hefty paper JEP chart manuals pilots are required to carry. In December 2011, the FAA approved the iPad for use in all airline cockpits. The iPad application, Jeppesen Mobile FD, is a free download from the App Store, but its use requires a Jeppeson electronic charting serial number. The app supports printing using an AirPrint-compatible printer.
