How to Change the Input Resolution on an HD PVR
HD PVR is a high-definition video recorder that makes compressed, real-time recordings of Xbox 360 game play, PS3 game play or cable TV and satellite shows. You can't change the input resolution on the HD PVR itself; the unit automatically adjusts to inputs of up to 1080i. If your HD PVR isn't capturing at the right resolution, change the output resolution of the device you're recording from.

Tips & Warnings
Use the correct cable for high-resolution output. For example, to capture HD output from an Xbox 360, you must connect an Xbox 360 component HD AV cable to the HDPVR. If you use a yellow RCA connector, you will be able to capture only standard-definition images.
