How to Flash an EVO 4G to Boost Mobile
The HTC Evo offers a fast 4G connection, an Android operating system and the ability to download helpful and entertaining apps. If you want to switch to Boost Mobile but want to keep your Evo, flashing it to the Boost Mobile wireless network takes only a few minutes at home or at a cell phone retail store. When you flash your Evo, you reprogram it to recognize the Boost cellular network instead of your existing wireless carrier.

1
Set up a new wireless account with Boost Mobile. Provide your phone's identification numbers, located under the battery, so the company can add your HTC Evo to your new account.
-
2
Take your phone to a third-party mobile retailer to be flashed. Many stores that sell phones from several companies provide on-site flashing services. Make sure the store you visit carries Boost Mobile plans and phones -- there's a better chance it can handle the flashing process quickly if it sell plans from the carrier you are flashing to.

Download flashing software to your computer instead of visiting a cell phone retail store. Use online flashing software retailers such as CDMA Flashing Software, Your Cellular or Remote Squad. Use the USB cable to connect your Evo and your computer, then launch the software. Each software package has different instructions unique to that vendor, but follow the instructions carefully and your phone should be flashed in just a few minutes. The software may ask you to enter your phone's make and model as well as information on your existing and new carrier. If it asks you for a service program code number, enter "000000." The software should handle the majority of the flashing process automatically. Reboot your phone, and make a test call to "611" to make sure you connect to Boost Mobile after flashing is complete.
