How to Make SNES9x Par Codes
The Pro Action Replay is a device that connects to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System to modify game code and give you enhancements such as invincibility and infinite lives. If you use the emulator SNES9x to play Super Nintendo backups on your computer, you can use cheat codes without having access to a Pro Action Replay. Use the "Cheat Entry and Editor" menu in SNES9x to enter a PAR code found online, or enter random characters to create new cheat codes of your own.
Instructions

-
1
Launch SNES9x. Click the "File" menu at the top of the window and select "Open." Double-click the file representing the Super Nintendo game backup you want to run.
-
2
Click the "Cheat" menu at the top of the window and select "Game Genie, Pro Action Replay Codes." This displays the "Cheat Entry and Editor" window.
-
-
3
Type the PAR code in the "Enter Cheat Code" field. An example of a valid PAR code is "7E09D501." All PAR codes are hexadecimal.
-
4
Type a description such as "Infinite Lives" in the "Cheat Description" field. This field helps you identify the cheat code; it does not affect the code's functionality.
-
5
Click the "Add" button in the upper-right corner of the window.
-
6
Click the check box next to the PAR code you added. This enables the code. Click "OK" to close the window.
-
7
Click the "File" menu at the top of the window and select "Reset Game." The game restarts with the cheat code enabled.
