How to Make Zombie Silhouettes

Make creepy zombie silhouettes using craft supplies.

During Halloween, it can be exciting to display thematic decorations on your house to make it creepier. For example, hang up silhouettes of zombies in the windows to make it look like your home is inhabited by brain-seeking creatures. Although it may be difficult to locate zombie silhouettes in a store, the materials to make them by hand are readily available at any arts and crafts supply store. This enables you to customize the silhouettes to your specification.

Things You'll Need

• Black craft paper
• Art tape
• Lamp with no shade
• Pencil
• Scissors

Instructions

1. Place a large sheet of black craft paper against a wall, and tape it in place with art tape. Art tape can be applied and removed without leaving behind residue. Keep the paper taut and flat.

2. Turn on a lamp without a shade, and aim the lamp at the hanging paper to illuminate it.

3. Have a friend or family member stand in between the lamp and the paper, casting a shadow against the paper. Position your friend or family member to resemble a zombie with arms dangling or outstretched and the head tilted to one side.

4. Trace the outline of your friend or family member using a pencil. Remove the paper from the wall, and cut out the traced zombie silhouette using scissors.

5. Spray one side of the zombie silhouette using spray adhesive, then press the silhouette onto a window.

6. Repeat this process to hang up as many zombie silhouettes as you prefer.
