How to Hook Up Your Computer to Your PS3 to Live Broadcast

Windows Media Player lets you broadcast and connect with the PS3, so you can watch movies, listen to music and play videos on your television. The files are stored on your local desktop, and the PS3 streams the videos using the wireless network connection.       Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Click "Network Sharing Center." Click the "Media Streaming" link.

      Click "On" in the section labeled "Turn on Network Discovery." Click "Turn on File and Print Sharing." Click "OK" to save the networking settings. Open Media Player after the network settings are configured.

      Power on your PS3. Scroll to the video section in the main PS3 menu using your controller. Click the "Video" option.

      Click the desktop computer name you configured earlier. In the list of videos, click the one you want to watch. The video starts automatically and plays on your TV.
