How to Repair a Lazy Susan Cabinet Spring Closure
Corner cabinets often become deep recesses of forgotten food and cooking supplies. Lazy Susan cabinets allow these cabinets to become functional again. Spring closures on the cabinet door help keep them open and closed by the spring-loaded tension in the hinge. With use, the hinges can become damaged and need replacing. Repairing a Lazy Susan door’s spring hinge is simple enough for even the inexperienced handyman to fix in an afternoon. Does this Spark an idea?

Remove all damaged hinges from the cabinet door using an electric screwdriver. You can leave the hinges that are not damaged attached to the door. Set the door aside. Remove the other side of all damaged hinges from the inside of the cabinet. Discard the removed damaged hinge.

Put a new spring-loaded hinge onto the cabinet door. Use the same model of hinge if possible. If you can't get the same model hinge, use one that is as close in dimensions as possible. Align the screw hinges of the new hole with the screw holes in the cabinet left by the old hinge.

Attach the hinge to the cabinet door by screwing the included screws through the hinge holes into the door’s holes.

Hold the door up to the cabinet. Have someone assist you with this step to free up your hands to screw the hinge to the door. Attach the cabinet side of the hinge to the cabinet by inserting screws through the screw holes on the hinge into the wood of the cabinet.

Tips & Warnings
If the holes in the new hinge and in the door don't line up exactly, move the hinge up or down 1/2 inch on the door. Then screw the screws into the door, creating new holes. By moving the hinge up or down you avoid screwing it into the existing holes, creating holes too large to hold the screws.
To make it easier to replace damaged hinges, get extra hinges when the cabinets are installed. If you are not installing new cabinets, purchase additional hinges when you replace the damaged hinges.
