How to Make an Alphacool LCD Screen Red

An Alphacool LCD display is an external device that can be powered up and operated directly from the USB jack located on your laptop or computer. While an Alphacool LCD screen turning red can be an indication of pixels freezing on the screen, it can also simply be an adjustment in saturation and color temperature that you can perform manually.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach your Alphacool LCD screen to your computer with the USB plug located in the box. An icon will pop up on your desktop once your computer successfully recognizes the device.

    • 2

Go to www.Alphacool.com to download the driver and Alpha LCD software upgrade. Once downloaded to your desktop, this software will help indicate system information such as screen temperature and memory capacity.

    • 3

Open the software on your computer, selecting the word "Temperature" on the left side of the screen under "Objectlist." A blue rectangular screen will appear in the middle of the software page, with two rows for CPU1 and CPU2.

    • 4

Drag the tabs on each of the rows from the left to the right. This will increase the temperature of the screen, changing it from a cool blue to a warm red. Save your settings before closing out and using your screen.
