How to Make a Gaming YouTube Channel

Numerous gaming channels introduce viewers to new games, discuss strategy or provide detailed game reviews. Creating your own gaming channel on YouTube is free and relatively easy. To gain a following, you must consistantly upload new videos and provide interesting content for your viewers.

Create a YouTube user account. Click "Create Account" in the top right corner of the YouTube homepage. Fill in your username, email account, birthdate and other user information. Return to the YouTube homepage and sign in to your account.

Click "Upload" on the YouTube homepage to create a gaming channel. Provide a username to create the channel.

Change your channel name. Press "My Channel" to navigate to your gaming channel page. Click "Edit Channel" and go to the "Info and Settings" tab. Add a channel title and brief description so viewers can easily find your videos.

Create a video to upload to YouTube. Capture video game footage using a camcorder with direct video input. This camcorder plugs directly into your video game console and records the video games. Alternatively, use a video capture card to record video game footage onto your computer.

Edit the footage using video editing software on your computer. Delete excess footage and add audio commentary or text.

Upload the video to your YouTube channel. Navigate to the "Video" tab on your channel homepage. Click "Upload Video" and select the gaming video you want to upload. Rename the video and add a brief description. Change the category to "Gaming" before publishing.
