How to Change the Windshield on a Yamaha FJR
The FJR1300 is the premier sport-touring model among Yamaha's motorcycles. The FJR1300 was introduced to the European market in 2001 and was brought to the U.S. in 2003. An electronically adjustable windshield added to the FJR's comfortable, yet sporty look, allowing riders to reposition the windshield as needed to deflect wind at increasing speeds. The windshield can be damaged by road debris or a crash, requiring the replacement of the plastic shield. While the the windshields on FJR models built until 2005 are secured by easily accessible fasteners, newer models use concealed hardware to secure each windshield to an adjustable bracket.
