How to Mount an LG TV to a Cabinet
Like other quality flat-panel TVs, LG flat-panel TVs are capable of generating stunning, sharp images. If you have a nice, expensive armoire-style TV cabinet that formerly housed your older cathode ray tube (CRT) TV, you may be able to mount your new flat-panel unit to the cabinet if the size of the new TV is right.

1
Measure the height and width of the opening in your existing cabinet. If the cabinet has doors that retract into the cabinet when opened, measure the opening with them in this position.
-
2
Measure your LG flat panel's height and width. Make sure to measure the overall height of the flat panel while it is mounted to its base.
-
-
3
Open the doors of the cabinet, sliding them back into position. Pull any audio/video cabling forward and off to one side in the opening to allow insertion of the set.
-
4
Slide the flat panel into the cabinet. Turn the set around to gain access to the rear panel jacks.
-
5
Plug the audio/video cabling into the corresponding jacks on the LG set, including the AC power cord. Route the audio/video cabling down the back of the cabinet through the precut slots or cabling holes. Rotate the set on its attached base, ensuring the base does not overhang the front of the cabinet.

Tips & Warnings
Be prepared for the possibility that the LG TV's screen measurement may be smaller than the tube set you are removing, due to the wider nature of the flat panel set.
