AutoTune Instructions for the Zipper ThunderMax
The Zipper ThunderMax Electric Control Module allows you to monitor and control every aspect of your motorcycle. AutoTune units also have the ability to automatically monitor and alter the fuel setting for each individual cylinder. In order to use this feature you must first activate the AutoTune feature, which you can do by connecting the module to a PC via the ECM-to-PC communication cable that comes with the device.

Plug the on-board diagnostics end of the ECM-to-PC communications cable into the diagnostics port on the ThunderMax module. Plug the USB end of the cable into one of your computer's USB ports.

Double-click the ThunderMax program icon to launch the program. Turn the motorcycle's ignition on and move the "Run/Off" switch to the Run position. Do not start the motorcycle.

Click the "Link" button in the ThunderMax program window. The program will now link to the ThunderMax ECM module, detect the AutoTune module and oxygen sensors and activate the AutoTune settings.

Click the Configure menu and select the Closed Loop MODULE Settings option. This option is available only if you have an AutoTune module installed.

Place a check mark next to each of the Close Loop Processing (Module) and Close Loop Processing (Map) options. Click the "Close" button to save the changes. The AutoTune feature will automatically be activated.
