Tablet PCs such as the iPad are a great tool for browsing the Web.

If you have a favorite webpage that you find yourself using on a daily basis, it's useful to have easy access to that Web page without having to first launch Safari and then access your bookmark through Safari. Putting a direct bookmark to the Web page on the home screen solves this problem, and fortunately, the iPad provides a way for you to do this.

Instructions

    • 1

Start your iPad and launch Safari.

    • 2

Navigate to the Web page that you want to bookmark to your home screen.

    • 3

Tap the action button, which is next to the URL and is a box with an arrow coming out of it. On older versions of iOS, the action button is shaped like a plus sign.

    • 4

Tap “Add to Home Screen” on the menu that comes up.

    • 5

Edit the name to whatever you want the bookmark name to appear as on your home screen.

    • 6

Tap “Add.” A bookmark to the webpage should now be on your home screen.
