How to Delete Upper & Lower Buffers on a CD Drive
Some third-party CD and DVD burning software packages add driver buffer filters to the Windows registry. These filters do not typically affect the performance of your system, but sometimes an issue occurs where you are unable to see the CD or DVD drive in My Computer. You need to remove the buffer filters from the registry in order to fix this problem with your system. Once the filters are removed, the optical drive appears in My Computer and can be accessed.
