How to Make a Metallic Glossy iTunes Icon
Download a regular iTunes logo from the iTunes website or an image website, then customize it for your own use. With graphic design programs such as Photoshop, GIMP or Photoscape, you can apply filters and color changes to give the iTunes icon a metallic and glossy appearance. Use that icon on digital documents, Web pages, social networks or other computer applications.

Photoshop

Open the iTunes icon in the Photoshop program.

Click “Filter” from the top menu, select “Artistic” then choose “Plastic Wrap.”

Edit the settings for the filter in the new window until you get an effect that you like. The changes you make to your icon appear in the preview window.

Click “OK” to apply the changes to the iTunes icon.
GIMP

Open the iTunes icon in the GIMP program.

Hold the “Ctrl” key and press the “A” key to select the whole image. Press the “C” key to copy the image.

Click the “Layer” menu, select “Transparency” and click “Add alpha Channel.”

Click the “Filters” menu, click “Alpha to Logo” and click “Glossy.”

Edit the settings for the glossy filter in the new window. By default, the filter gives a golden metallic gloss to the icon, but you can change the gradients and patterns. Click “OK” to apply the filter.

Hold the “Ctrl” key and press the “V” key to paste the original image on top of the metallic glossy layer.

Change the layer’s mode to “Multiply” in the “Layers” menu.
Photoscape

Launch Photoscape and select “Edit” from the menu.

Browse for your iTunes icon in the left menu, then drag it to the main screen to edit it.

Click the “Grayscale” button to create a gray metallic effect.

Click the “Filters” menu and click “Linear Gradient.”

Choose the “Top” setting to place the shine along the top of the icon, then click “OK” to create the glossy effect.
