How to Extract Applets From the Java Cache

Each Java interpreter installation includes a cache folder. The cache folder contains temporary files includes zip files downloaded using Java software. You can find servlet zip files and extract them to a folder on your hard drive, so you don't delete and clear the servlet from your computer when you clear the Java cache. You can find the servlet by opening the cache folder on your Windows computer.

      Click the Windows "Start" button and type "cache" in the search text box. Press "Enter" to search for the cache folder.

      Double-click the "Cache" folder located in the Java folder in the list of results. Locate the servlet zip file you want to extract.

      Right-click the ZIP file that contains your servlet and select "Extract To." Type a folder in the text box and click "Extract" to extract the servlet content to a folder on your computer.
