How to Upgrade YouCam 3 for Free

YouCam 3 can be upgraded for free for a limited time.

Cyberlink YouCam is webcam software that comes with tools and features that help you maximize your webcam experience. You can add effects to your webcam image or enhance video conferencing with YouCam's utilities. If you have YouCam 3 installed on your computer, there is a way to upgrade it to YouCam 5 for free. However, your new webcam software will only be free for 15 days, beginning from the moment you install it. To continue using it, you have to purchase it. There is no legal way to use the software more than 15 days.

Instructions

1. Open your favorite Web browser and navigate to Cyberlink's website at Cyberlink.com. Go to "Products" in the navigation menu, select "Webcam effects" and click on the "YouCam" link.

2. Click on the "Free Trial" link to start downloading a free version of YouCam 5. Enter your name and email in the "Your name" and "E-mail" text boxes and click on the "Download" button. Click on the "Download Now" button on the next webpage.

3. Save the file on your hard disk drive and double-click on it to start the installation. Follow the simple instructions you see on your screen to finish the installation. There is no need to uninstall YouCam 3, since the software you just downloaded will upgrade it to version 5.

4. Double-click on the "YouCam 5" icon on your desktop or click on the "YouCam 5" icon in the Start menu to start the tool. You can use the free version of YouCam 5 for 15 days.
