How to Compile on the iPad
You can compile LaTeX documents right from the iPad's interface. The compiling is handled remotely from the Tex Cloud server, a service that compiles LaTeX documents. To take advantage of this service, purchase and download the Tex Touch app from the iPad App Store. The compiled files are saved as PDFs that you can distribute to anyone via email, right from the device.

Tap the "App Store" icon on the home screen, then type "Tex Touch" in the top search field and press the "Search" button. Tap the "Tex Touch" search listing under the iPad Apps section.

Press the "Buy" button on the screen and type your Apple ID password to confirm the transaction. The app automatically downloads and installs on the iPad.

Go to the home screen, then tap the "Tex Touch" icon and tap the "Tex Cloud Setup" button in the middle of the left-hand column. On the next screen, tap the "Create Account" tab, then enter your email address as the "Username" and type a password. Tap the "Done" button to register for the free Tex Cloud service.

Tap the "Tex Cloud Setup" button again, but this time stay under the Login tab. Type your username and password, and tap the "Done" button to sign into Tex Cloud.

Tap the "New Document" button in the upper right corner of the screen. Enter a title for the new LaTeX document and tap the "Done" button.

Create your LaTeX document by typing in the text and necessary code to format it. Use the bottom toolbars to insert properly formatted mathematical formulas. Tap the "Document Structure" button to access styling options. When you use these options, they automatically insert the proper LaTeX code into the document.

Tap the "Tex" icon at the upper right corner to access the compiler options. Go to the left-hand side of the top toolbar and tap the "TeX!" button. The program compiles and builds the PDF output file.
