  1. System Restore

      Click the "Start" button and type "System Restore" into the "Start Search" field. Click the "System Restore" icon in the list of results. The System Restore window will appear.

      Click "Next" to display a list of restore points for your computer. Click a restore point that was created before problems originated with your version of ArcSoft MediaImpression. Click "Next."

      Click "Finish" in the confirmation window to run the System Restore process. Your computer will restart and ArcSoft MediaImpression will be returned to functional operating condition. If the problems persist, reinstall a clean version of the software on your computer.

    Reinstall

      Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click the "Programs and Features" icon under the "Programs" section.

      Click the "ArcSoft MediaImpression" entry in the list of installed programs that opens.

      Click "Uninstall" and click "Yes" in the prompt that appears to remove the malfunctioning version of ArcSoft MediaImpression.

      Insert the ArcSoft MediaImpression disc into the disc drive on your computer. Click "Next" in the installation wizard that appears. Click "Standard" in the installation type page and click "Next." Click "Accept" and click "Install" to reinstall a working version of ArcSoft MediaImpression.

Tips & Warnings

  • System Restore will make changes to your computer's settings and other programs. The System Restore window displays which programs and settings will be affected when you select a restore point.
