How to Count in a Column in JMP
The JMP modeling software lets you create statistical graphs and relationships between numbers for analysis. The JMP software has a feature that automatically counts in a column, so each line of data is shown in a numerical order. You must tell the software to add the numerical values automatically each time a new line of data is added to the model.

Open the JMP software and the model you want to edit.

Click the heading of the column you want to use to display the row count. A "C" icon displays next to the column.

Click the "C" icon, which stands for "Continuous." Type a number from which you want to begin the count.

Click the "Save" button to save the changes to the file. Open the model in the viewer to display the counted rows.
