Determine the signal range of your wireless router. The TV-IP312W uses your wireless router to stream live video and audio to your computer. The streaming can only occur if the camera is within range of your router. Consult the router’s user manual to determine the signal range.

Determine the location or room in which you want to record activity.

Place the camera out of sight. High shelves in between books, inside a plant or inside a closet with doors containing slats are good hiding places for the camera. Make sure the camera lens is not blocked and you have a clear view of the room you want to monitor.
