How to Fill a Couch with Down
The day will come when your couch looks saggy and tired, no matter how much it cost. Years of wear and tear caused by you, your family and friends will eventually take their toll. Instead of purchasing an expensive replacement when your couch looks like it's on its last legs, you could give it a good re-stuffing with down. Does this Spark an idea?

Remove the cushions from the couch, and take off their covers.

Hold one cushion upside down. Carefully make a cut along its seam with scissors to expose the cushion's cavity.

Force handfuls of down into the cushion's cavity. Push the down deep into the body of the cushion to ensure it fills out properly.

Pinch the sides of the seam opening against each other with your fingers.

Sew the sides of the seam opening together with a sewing needle and strong thread. Put the cushion inside its cover.

Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for each cushion.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to add down to the body of a couch, remove its cover, make a cut in the material at its base and force down into sagging areas by hand. Sew the opening closed with a sewing needle and strong thread.
