Origami Cupcake Holder Instructions
To make the cupcakes more attractive, bakers usually use standard cupcake holders. Although some have very intricate designs, the majority of these are neither flashy nor interesting. Instead of buying the holders at the local grocery store, make your own with origami paper. Because origami paper is both delicate and decorative, it will draw more attention to your cupcakes. It will also show your customers or friends that you put extra effort into your baked goods.

Grab a flap that you just created. Fold it sideways so that the point and the triangle's side touch the bottom of the triangle. Take the new point that you made, and fold it sideways so that the point and the triangle's side touch the bottom of the triangle. Repeat for the rest of the flaps.

Unfold the second paper, and find the square in the middle. Just above the square is a small isosceles triangle. Above that is a larger triangle. Focus on the smaller one first. Bring the small isosceles triangle toward the square. Take the point of the larger triangle and bring it toward the left. The larger triangle's point should hit the smaller triangle's base. Repeat for the rest of the triangles.

Apply a light layer of glue in center of the larger shape you've created -- in the middle of the squared-off base inside it. Place the smaller shape you've created into the larger one, to form a single cupcake holder with a layered look.
