How to Make a Christmas Tree With Glue, Cotton Balls & a Toilet Paper Roll
With Christmas just around the corner it’s the perfect time to start creating your own holiday crafts to adorn your home. Nothing says “Christmas” more than a festive tree. You can use a toilet paper roll, cotton balls and some glue to create the base of your decoration. With some basic crafting supplies at your disposal, you can turn it into a beautiful Christmas tree.
Things You'll Need
- Toilet paper roll
- Masking tape
- White rice
- 1 sheet brown felt
- 1 sheet green construction paper
- 1 sheet red felt
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Cotton balls
- Green dust-free powdered tempera paint
- Large zippered plastic bag
- White craft glue
- Large star embellishment
Instructions

Tape over one end of the toilet paper roll.

Cover the roll with brown felt and tuck the overlap into the open end. Staple the felt into place.

Fill the toilet roll halfway with white rice and tape the opening shut.

Cut a sheet of green construction paper in half and roll into a cone shape.

Stand the filled tube upright. Glue the bottom edge of the cone to the top of the tube.

Place the cotton balls and powdered paint in a zippered plastic bag. Shake vigorously.

Glue the cotton balls all over the cone structure.

Cut out shapes from the red felt and glue all over the tree as ornaments.

Glue the star to the top of the tree to complete.

Use a different shade of powdered tempera paint to make a unique Christmas tree craft.
