Dying to see your team hoop it up on the court this season? Looking for floor seats to see your favorite NBA All Star or college All American from up close? Here are some of the best ways to buy basketball tickets online so can be sure to catch your team driving the lane this season.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Determine which opponent or date you want to see your favorite basketball team in action.
Step2
Check the tickets section of the team's website to see if tickets are still available. Usually, the tickets they have left are those that season ticket holders did not buy before the season began.
Step3
Look for a team sponsored online ticket marketplace. Some teams make that service available so their season ticket holders can sell tickets to games they cannot attend.
Step4
Visit the sites of online ticket brokers. A number of brokers offer tickets to a range of sporting events. See Additional Resources below for some examples.
Step5
Consider eBay or other online auction websites, but make sure to only deal with reputable sellers and understand in advance how and when you will get your tickets.

Tips & Warnings

  • In most cases (but not always), there are more tickets available, and at better prices, well in advance of the game.
  • For any Internet transaction you do, make sure the website where you buy tickets is secure and reputable. Look for a seal of approval from the Better Business Bureau, Verisign or similar organizations.
  • eBay and online brokers are often good places to find basketball tickets, but beware of fraudulent tickets.
