How to Make Color Halftones
Color halftones are an effect on images in which a series of dots are evenly spaced but of varying sizes -- your eyes then blend the dots into an image. These dots can be different colors to create an image. You can create color halftones in graphics software like Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint Shop Pro and GIMP, but it is preferable to create color halftones in Adobe Illustrator, a vector graphics program, because using color halftones as vectors -- geometrical images -- is easier because color halftones are geometric, according to Vec Tips.
