How to Record Your Voice on Live! Cam Avatar for Dell Computers
Live! Cam Avatar Creator is a program that allows you to create an avatar that can interact with other webcam users in a video-chat setting. This program lets you modify every aspect of your avatar, from the way it looks to the way it speaks. You can even record your own voice and save the recorded message to one of your avatar's emotive profiles through the "Scripts" section of the avatar creation process.

Double-click the "Live! Cam Avatar Creator" program icon to launch the program. Click the "File" menu and select the "Open..." option. Double-click the avatar's file to open the avatar in the creator program. Once the avatar has loaded, click the "Scripts" tab at the top of the program window.

Click the "Voice Recorder" to open the "Live! Cam Avatar Creator Sound Recorder" window. The "Voice Recorder" button is in the shape of a "record" button.

Connect the microphone you want to use to record your voice, if necessary, and click the arrow to the right of the "Input device" heading. Select your microphone from the drop-down menu that appears.

Adjust the microphone level to the desired level and click the "Record" button. Speak your message into the microphone. When you are finished, click the "Record" button a second time to stop the recording.

Click the "Play" button to play back the recorded message. If you are not satisfied, rerecord the message. Otherwise, click the "OK" button.

Click the "Emotives" tab and double-click the profile that you want to save the recorded message to. Click the "Save" button to save the recorded message.
